Greens are an essential part to every healthy diet.. we all know it. But can’t it be hard to get them in sometimes!? The Best Sautéed Kale recipe is a new regular in my kitchen that my family is crazy about! Not to mention is a much cheaper option than other dark leafy greens like spinach. When I first discovered this recipe, I ate it over and over again for weeks and it never got old. It is incredibly easy to make and so delicious!
The secret to sautéing the perfect kale every time is keeping it covered while it cooks on low. This allows it to cook slowly leaving the kale tender without removing all of the moisture. I use a large sauté pan with a lid, but a braiser or large covered pot will work also.
Sautéed Kale is the perfect side to go with almost anything! I love it on the side of baked chicken with veggies. Lately my favorite has been using it as the base of a salad!

Xo,
- 8 oz. Kale, any variety
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (can sub other cooking oil)
- large dash of sea salt
- Toss the kale in the oil and place in a large sauté pan with salt.
- While covered, cook on low heat for about 12-15 minutes, stirring every few minutes to to make sure the bottom doesn't burn. (Covering it the entire time is important to keep moisture in while it cooks.)
- It is done once the leaves have wilted and been cooked down to your desire. Serve immediately!
