Healing Ginger Lemonade

This Healing Ginger Lemonade is perfect for drinking everyday to help prevent sickness. My inspiration behind creating this drink was to find a recipe with these ingredients in which you cannot taste the apple cider vinegar, and I did it! The secret is in blending the ginger in! This drink is healthy & SO refreshing.

It contains ginger, lemon, apple cider vinegar, honey and water. Each of the main ingredients have their own specific healing properties. Here is a look at some of the main benefits!

Ginger: Ginger is very high in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents. It is commonly used to improve digestion and to relieve pain and nausea symptoms. It is also known for helping fight and prevent infections, cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, ulcers and arthritis.

Lemon: Lemons contain vitamins C, vitamin B6, potassium and iron. Lemons help enhance immunity, increase iron absorption, improve skin health and promote heart health.

Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple Cider Vinegar helps improve gut health, relieve cold symptoms, regulate blood sugar, aid with weight loss, improve skin health, lower cholesterol, and the list goes on! ACV is packed with healing properties and many people swear by having a little bit everyday.

Honey: Honey is packed with antioxidants, helps boost your immune system, is a great natural energy source (shown to be a great pre- and post- workout snack), and helps in treating a cough. Honey is most nutritious when consumed raw (vs. being cooked). It is best to use local honey that has not been highly processed.

This lemonade is the perfect mix of lemon & ginger and is absolutely delicious! It is prefect for when you feel sick, but also when you are just wanting a refreshing cold drink. The ginger flavor is not too strong, so if you want more of that flavor feel free to add extra to yours.

I would love to know what you think!! Please share comments and pictures of how it turns out for you! Happy cooking, friends!

Xo,

Christine
